Don't Count Your Eggs

Isn't language awful some times. I feel like the IVF failed me! But really it just didn't work. And that's in. It sucks to think about all this stuff as success and failure--I thought that was the American way but I guess it's a worldwide concept. To bad. We just have to remind ourselves that so much of this is just pure luck and chance. There is little to feel guilty about then. Wishing you all the best!

It's the same in Swedish "I failed the attempt". And it's an exepression I really despise - I never failed anything. The IVF failed, the egg failed to attach, the egg failed to fertilize, the insemination failed. I never failed bloody anything (pardon the language)

For three years I had people say "sorry you failed your attempt", and each time I wanted to hit them. I. Never. Failed.

Talk about a guilt trip!!

You never failed.
